It’s Diana and I wanted to share our tradition of making confetti eggs! My family makes confetti eggs (also called cascarones) every year for our Easter egg hunt. It’s something that’s not just for the kids – all ages get into it. You can buy them at the store but we think it’s fun to make them because my kids look forward to making them. You smash the eggs on each other’s head.
What are Confetti Eggs?
Confetti Eggs are colored eggs that you hollow out and fill with confetti. Then you hide the eggs and find them. When you find one, you smash it on someone else’s head. Then watch the confetti go everywhere! Make sure to break the eggs outside (or you’ll have a big mess to clean up). Some people fill their eggs with birdseed instead of confetti because it’s easier on the environment. It won’t be nearly as colorful and more difficult to get out of your hair – but it all depends on your preference.
