PMD Kiss Review – Can you Suction Your Way to Plumper Lips?

This is Janet and Diana with Two Moms Review and we wanted to know if you’ve heard of PMD Kiss.

The Kiss is a personal beauty device designed to give you plumper lips naturally. There are no injections or dangerous methods needed (we’re looking at you, Kylie Jenner). As Diana says it’s like giving yourself a lip hickey.

We were invited to attend the launch party for PMD Kiss where we got to see the preview of the YouTube ad and got one to try out at home. Some of the stars of the commercial were there and we got to meet them. Yes, we met the very glamorous and very famous and very quick-witted Nicole Arbor.

PMD Kiss Launch Party

The video is brilliant and has several YouTube stars. Here it is…

PMD Kiss Instructions

Here are the steps to getting that sexy pout:

  1. Plug in your PMD Kiss and let it charge for 2 hours or until fully charged.
  2. Remove any lipstick or product from your lips and make sure they are dry.
  3. Apply the Smart Kiss Lip Plumping Serum to your lips.
  4. Place the tip of the PMD onto your lip and create a tight seal or suction so it gently tugs on your lip. Divide your lips into 4 sections and give them 10 pulses per section.
  5. Repeat daily or as needed. For best results, you need to use it consistently for 2 weeks.

Warning: DO NOT try this on other body parts. If your nipples fall off it’s not our fault.

PMD Kiss is really easy to use. It’s pretty, lightweight, and well-designed. It’s something that you could slip into your purse before a date and get fuller lips in just a few minutes. You’re not going to have that awkward injection look or anything that screams FAKE either! Two Moms Review affiliate

PMD Kiss Review – pmd Kiss Doesn’t Work

Janet has the PMD Microderm device and it’s awesome – it saves so much money over getting a professional treatment and can be done at home any time. Same with the Kiss. It’s designed to help you plump your lips at home and also has anti-aging benefits too.

PMD Kiss is available for $139 on their website and at major beauty retailers such as Nordstrom, Sephora, and Ulta. It felt like our lips were bigger probably because they got a little massage. It does take a try or two to get the suction right. As PMD states, “the product is for long-term use as an anti-aging and preventative device. However, the short-term effects of plumper lips and an increase in rosy color last about 2-3 hours.”

Conclusion: we need to use PMD consistently and then update this review with our impression.

Conclusion after trying it for several weeks, daily, following the instructions. It doesn’t work. I wish it did! It’s a very temporary subtle result that’s not worth the effort. It’s sad that pmd’s newest product isn’t up to par with their other one. We do appreciate that they let us try one but we cannot endorse it.

Here’s our video so you can see how PMD Kiss works:

PMD Kiss Reviews

I don’t see any negative reviews but as you see above, we don’t find that it works. It did make us focus a lot of energy on our lips wishing they were more plump naturally. However, we’re not into injectables so they’ll have to suffice!

Here are some other reviews: “my thin, tiny lips were so happy to try something that will plump up the volume without any injections! I am fine with injectables but NOT FOR MY LIPS! There is nothing worse than bad lip injections EEEEKKK! I have been using the system for about 2 weeks and really notice a difference. I highly recommend this if you are looking for natural and fuller looking results!”

I was super skeptical about trying this product but boy am I glad that I tried it. It is amazing!! I can’t believe I have gone this long without it. It is fast and easy and I love that the results look natural. This is a must have for sure!

Lip Plumping Serum

The serum has active ingredients including hyaluronic acid (this product alone has over 4,500 review on Amazon with an average rating of over 4 stars – read more here). It’s known for stimulating natural collagen production and for anti-aging. In this case, it is there to increase lip volume and decrease the look of lip lines. Along with the serum, The Kiss uses vacuum technology to increase lip volume.

The serum has no:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that is found in all living organisms. High concentrations are found in soft connective tissue and in the fluid surrounding the eye. It is also present in some cartilage and joint fluids, and in skin tissue. In skin tissue, hyaluronic acid is a jelly-like substance that fills the space between collagen and elastin fibers. It sounds scary to think of using acid but it’s actually already in your body and has many benefits.

Hyaluronic acid:

  • Provides a mechanism of transport of essential nutrients from the bloodstream to living skin cells
  • Hydrates the skin by holding in water
  • Acts as a cushioning and lubricating agent against mechanical and chemical damage.
  • Is naturally occurring in your body, however, it’s decreased through aging or through exposure to environmental factors such as pollutants and sunlight.

Unfortunately, Janet discovered she was allergic and developed a minor rash around her lips from the hyaluronic acid. After reading about it on Amazon, it’s clear that some people do have a reaction to this ingredient. It went away quickly but she will have to use The Kiss without the serum.

Conclusion

Overall this is a fun device with clever marketing and a solid brand behind it.

The results were subtle but we only used it one time. Later we learned you need to use it consistently for 2 weeks to see a more dramatic effect. It’s hard to believe any reviews in which they had fast, immediate results. It’s not designed for that although some did see more noticeable results with just one treatment. Unfortunately, the effects were short-lived.

In an 8-week beauty panel, 91% saw an increase in lip volume. We find that tough to believe. It’s a fun concept and we had a great time. They gave us one to try but we just didn’t find it worth the effort or cost.

However, we really do love their personal microderm device and mask. Janet has had one for several years and it smooths the skin, softens it, and helps you look younger.

If you have a PMD Kiss, did it work for you?? Let us know in the comments!

  • You guys said you only used it once lol of course it does t give instant results after one use! I e been consistently doing an hour for 4 days in a row and my lips are looking amazing and the lip lines are gone. Why don’t you give it a chance before you leave a bad review??

    • We did give it ample chances and the little effect it had was temporary (even after this video). We rarely give bad reviews but we didn’t think it was worth the time or effort for such a subtle result. It sounds like you had a better experience. I wanted to like it. I love their microderm product.
